Chairman's Message
I’m deeply honored to address you all as the Chairman of Powered By Women International, esteemed women’s Non-Government Organization here in Sri Lanka. We always foster gender equality and create positive changes in the lives of countless number of women and girls. The life ends in no time, as I am Manjula R Bandara and I have been working fairly with my heart.
First in my life I firmly wanted to make my mind happy and it was not an easy task. The big thing I wanted to do just to live with happiness. Later in my life I understood that my happiness is not big enough while majority is living sadly. Then it is needed to be shared with every individual on the earth who has crying needs and burning desires. Together, we have embarked on a journey that aims to break barriers, challenges and uplift women from all walks of life. With unwavering determination, we have stood as a beacon of hope, providing support, education and resources to those in need. In my life I was down-hearted million times, there I was able to understand how others feel when suffering, in this sense Powered by Women International was initially framed and formed.
This aims to give you a better life, as in future happiness will be seen rarely. I am immensely proud of the impacts we have made so far but it is firmly believed that our work is far from over. With everyone’s continuous support and collective efforts, I am confident that we will achieve even greater milestones. In the end we enable to build a society where the talents and potential of women are fully recognized, appreciated and celebrated.
With warm regards,
Manjula R Bandara
